Bagworms

Bagworms are sneaky little fellows.  They gather up needles from the trees they are attached to and make a cocoon-like bag to hide in while they eat.  You don’t usually even see them until the damage is extensive.

The easiest way to deal with them is to remove them manually. Pick them off and destroy them (or feed them to frogs or chickens if you have those helpers available.)
