Things Are In Motion for 2011

Bob went to Columbus and ordered the grower’s mix that we use for growing all our beautiful hanging baskets and pots of flowers.  That means that things are officially in motion for Spring of 2011.  (He also has some consumer-sized bags of the growers mix coming that will make it more convenient for you to buy the mix that we use. That way you can be as successful with your pots and baskets as we are.)

Sometimes we have to remind ouselves to actually be present in the present season, since we are forced to be always planning for the next one.  Like now, we are building grave blanket bases for this Christmas, even though the fall season hasn’t even begun.

The gift shop is decked out for fall.  Come in and get in the mood for the season.  (Fall has always been my favorite season, is it yours?) The outdoor decorating materials– pumpkins, corn stalks, and such– will be here for Labor Day weekend, which is the undeclared beginning of the fall decorating season.  Why not pick up some garden mums, too, to replace all those water-stressed plants that have been limping along through this hot summer?
